SHS Softball Defeats Claxton

The Blue Devil Softball team picked up their largest win of the season Tuesday, defeating Claxton High School by a score of 15-0 in three innings.  The Devils were led by McKenney Corbett on the mound, who pitched 3 no-hit innings to get the win.  Every Blue Devil batter in the line-up recorded a hit.

Running Into a New Season

Scott Palmer, coach of the Cross Country team, has started the season off with a bang. Last year, the team only had 17 runners show up to tryouts and this year that number has went up to 30. Coach Palmer says he looks for the top 10 lowest times out of all the Varsity runners

Downtown Statesboro hosts a monthly “First Friday” event. For the month of August, First Friday featured a pep rally including local high schools: Statesboro High, Bulloch Academy, Portal High, and Southeast Bulloch. SHS Volleyball Holds Camp

Statesboro High School’s Volleyball Team hosted its largest camp ever last week.  Almost 100 elementary, middle, and high schoolers participated under the instruction of Coach Bob Massee and many of the SHS Volleyball players.

SHS Kids’ Cheer Camp 2016

Over 40 Pre-K to 6th graders participated in the annual SHS Kids’ Cheer Camp this week, led by Coach Amy Altman, JV Coach Laura Herman, and the SHS Cheerleaders.  The week culminated with a performance for family and friends.  You can see pictures from the week by clicking here.
