Statesboro Weightlifting team were Co- Champions of the GACA Area Weight meet. 2019 Cheer Tryout Info Announced

Monday- Mandatory parent meeting at 5:30 in the media center. Tryout material will be posted online after the parent meeting on the SHS homepage. Tuesday & Wednesday- 3:45-5:15 in JV Gym Thursday- Open Gym all girls are welcome to come and practice. MANDATORY for all girls interested in competition. 3:15-5:00 Friday- Tryout start at 3:45.

Girls Basketball Region Player Awards

Congratulations to Lacy Robins Region Player of the Year (far left), Jamiah Jones 1st All-Region (far right), and Destiny Hartwell (center) 2nd team All-Region.  The Lady Blue Devils basketball team won the Region Championship this year – we are super proud of our girls and their hard work this year!

Weekend Weight Meet

Over 30 Blue Devils will be demonstrating their strength this weekend at the GACA Lee Murray Area 2 Weight Meet.  The meet will be held in the SHS JV Gym.  Come out and support your Blue Devils!

Track Gets a Facelift

Work is underway at the SHS track.  The track has been stripped of its old, worn surface and the new materials began arriving today!

SHS @ State Wrestling

At the State Tournament last weekend in Macon, the wrestling team had 2 wrestlers place and also set a school record for team points scored at the tournament. Deon Watson Placed 6th in the 170 lb. weight class. Jarran May placed 4th in the 285 lb. weight class. This is the highest placement in Statesboro

SHS Lady Devils Region Champions and Continued Play

Congratulations to the Lady Devils Basketball Team and Coach Seier for their Region Championship! The girls won the Region 2AAAAA crown with a 57-38 win over Wayne Co. The boys lost to Wayne Co in OT 56-52 to finish 2nd in the region. The girls host McIntosh Friday at 6:30 in the first round of
